Eight years ago today, the Chicago Cubs coughed up a lead and let the Florida Marlins score eight runs (yes, eight runs!) in one inning.
And, because of this...the Cubs didn't make it to the World Series and end their decades of futility.
Well, instead of blaming the pitchers who let up eight or the manager for letting the starter in too long or the shortstop for botching a ground ball, people have decided to blame a fan who tried to catch a foul ball.
Nope! Never did.
Our good friend "Sully" continually asks the questions we're all thinking and, along the way, makes us (or at least me) think that our water cooler conversations have some merit.
