Unique Baseball Card Set Up for Auction

This past week,  supercollector Seth Swirsky put his entire baseball memorabilia collection up for auction through Heritage Auctions.

But that’s not the only auction that is of interest to baseball card history buffs.

Over at Robert Edward Auctions, they're auctioning off a 1970 Topps Teammates set.  But here's the catch.  This set was produced only for Topps employees and features pictures of Topps employees working at the company’s headquarters.

You’ve got to love the "Grow Power "70" logo in the shape of leaves on a tree...both the slogan and the layout just scream early seventies. The photos show a fascinating glimpse of the behind-the-scenes workings of a baseball card company, at least how they were 40-plus years ago.
