Yankees Ink Kevin Youkilis to One-Year Deal

It wasn't long after news of Alex Rodriguez's hip surgery made headlines that the baseball world began to speculate about Kevin Youkilis joining the New York Yankees.

Well, speculate no longer.

According to FoxSports.com’s Ken Rosenthal...the third baseman will be joining the Bronx Bombers having just inked a one-year, $12-million deal.

The 33-year-old split time last season with the Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox, hitting .235 with 19 home runs and 60 RBI.

Naturally, the world is waiting to see what Scott Youkilis has to say.  You'll recall that when the deal went down sending his brother to Chicago..."Chef Youk" had a little bit of a social media meltdown.

Strange, the first thought that came to my mind was Joba.

I thought it was amusing but I really never understood Joba's fixation on Youk's head, or chin.

I hope they get assigned adjacent lockers. See what happens.

I think it's great we signed Youk. I hope he hits a walk off home run to beat the Red Sox.

I think it's great we signed Yuk. I hope he hits a game winning home run on his first trip into Boston. Then he can become "Freakin' Kevin Youlk"

He will be a bad fit for the Yanks. Lacks the ego, cionceit and swagger.

^ Why dont you tell us again how you really feel?

He will have a good year defensively and offensively and the Yanks should let him play the full season at third. And have A-rod split time at dh

He reminds me of Brosius. If Youk performs as well as Scott, he'll be embraced by the fans.

He just needs to always pay attention when Joba is on the mound whether or not there's runner on third.

I am convinced Joba can't help it. It's in his genes. He quite simply gotta hit Youk.
