Suspect Nabbed Because of Terrible Tattoo

It never surprises me where New York Yankees logos show up.  Think about it...they're literally everywhere.

Remember this little guy?

So, would it surprise you that a guy charged with shooting another guy in Arizona was nabbed because of the unfortunate placement of his Yankees ink.  Yup, 21-year-old Carlos Benito Sturgus (see below) was caught this past week in Mesa thanks to the terrible tat.

Here's the story courtesy of the Phoenix New Times.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, a witness told police he saw Sturgus and another man arguing on the balcony of the apartment above him, and when the other man walked downstairs to leave, Sturgus started shooting at him.

The other man began to shoot back at Sturgus while running through the apartment complex, and Sturgus eventually landed a shot in the man's back, according to the documents.

When police arrived, the man said he couldn't feel his legs, and was placed in the intensive-care unit at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

He told police he didn't know who shot him, but said the shots came from a balcony.

And who was on the balcony?  You guessed it.

Wait, Someone Got a Dallas Braden Tattoo?

In January, Oakland A's starter Dallas Braden showed off his (fake) tattoo of Rollie Fingers riding a dolphin, jumping over a rainbow.

Well, Mr. Braden...you've been bested.  For real.

Apparently some fan decided to honor Braden's perfect game two years ago by getting a tatto commemorating the event.  And, yeah, I'm sure dude was totally sober at the time.

Brian Wilson Has a Message for You

I'm not sure what evidence there was to support this previously, but I'm pretty sure Brian Wilson is officially turning his body into a college dorm room.

Yup, the San Francisco Giants closer now has a tattoo of Johnny Cash flipping the bid on his calf.  You know the picture...it's hanging on the wall of every rebelous hipster across the country.

Sure, it's said to be "in remarkable detail", but c'mon B-Weez, mix in a t-shirt or a poster...there's no reason to get Cash's finger flippage put on your body.

And now, a quick history lesson about Wilson's new ink.

The photo itself was shot during a soundcheck at Cash's iconic 1970 concert at California’s San Quentin prison by photographer Jim Marshall.  The pose was the result of Cash’s response to the request “John, let’s do a shot for the warden”.

Okay, okay...maybe the tattoo is a little awesome.

Bernie Brewer Hates the Cubs

Say what you want, but tattoos are getting better.

Real, fake or even this one...baseball fans are becoming walking, talking billboards for their favorite teams and players. Now I know I've said it before, but I think I've stumbled upon my newest favorite.

And before you ask, yes...that's Milwaukee Brewers mascot Bernie Brewer with an assault rifle doing a crotch grab over a bullet-filled Chicago Cub.

Awesome.

Behold...the Chipper Jones Tattoo!

Alright, enough with the whole "Chipper Jones is fat" thing.  Yeah, yeah...we all saw the picture. 

Matter of fact, Jones did too, telling The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

“I’m also fat now, from what I hear,” Jones said, smiling as he winced while taking his jersey over his sunburned arms. “I’m a little worried, this is the first time I’ve ever been called fat.”

"Thing is, I'm seven pounds lighter than I've ever been in camp, and now I'm fat," Jones said. "I weigh 226, 227. Usually I'm 235."

But, we're all missing the real story here...have you seen Atlanta Braves fan Megan Perry's Chipper Jones tattoo?

I mean, someone probably thought she was a little obsessed with the future Hall of Famer when she changed her Twitter handle to @chipsgirl10...but now?

I caught up with with the SoCal native and asked her about her motivation...here's the response.

I love love Chipper wanted to show that loved him for 18 yrs so 4 1/2 hrs and 450.00 dollars later there u go

Now, I realize that I made a big deal out of Dallas Braden's fake Rollie Fingers ink the other day, but, holy shit...that has nothing on the art Timothy B. Boor created for his buddy, fellow tatto artist Matt Davidson.
